The Association of the Luxembourg Fund Industry (ALFI) is a non-profit-making association who is the representative body of the Luxembourg investment fund community. Created in 1988, the Association today represents over 1,300 Luxembourg domiciled investment funds, asset management companies and a wide range of service providers such as depositary banks, fund administrators, transfer agents, distributors, legal firms, consultants, tax experts, auditors and accountants, specialist IT providers and communication companies. ALFI is a member of EFAMA, the European Fund and Asset Management Association〔(【引用サイトリンク】title=EFAMA list of members )〕 and IIFA, the International Investment Funds Association. Luxembourg-domiciled investment structures are distributed on a global basis in more than 70 countries with a particular focus on Europe, Asia, Latin America and the Middle East. == Membership == Membership of ALFI is open to investment funds and investment fund service providers, both of which must be established and authorised to carry out their activities in Luxembourg. Eligible investment funds are Undertakings for Collective Investment (UCI) and other regulated investment vehicles. Eligible fund service providers include but are not limited to companies such as custodian banks, fund administrators and managers, transfer agents, distributors, legal firms, consultants, tax offices, auditors and accountants, IT providers and communication companies. Associate membership is also available to foreign entities provided that they offer services to members.
